Yandex.News Now Available on Mobile Devices

Internet, September 15, 2014. Yandex today released its new News Aggregation Mobile App. The app provides users with the latest news about everything that is happening around them – from national news to sports scores.

The most important information is featured right on the app’s first screen. Navigating to specific categories, such as scientific news or the latest art events requires only a tap the relevant category. The app can be customized to create a personal news feed. A personal feed can contain a themed collection of news, content published on favourite news sources or stories mentioned by friends on Facebook, Twitter, VK or LiveJournal. Those users who have already created have a personalized news feed on news.yandex.ru can access it in the app as well.

Users can also utilize the save for later function of Yandex.News to store articles or even whole news feeds for reading.

The Yandex.News app is currently available for iOS phones, with a version for Android devices coming soon.

Yandex.New is Russia’s largest news aggregation service, which partners with more than 6,300 leading national and international publishers to receive and process the latest information in real time. The news picture of the day is formed automatically, without human involvement. In May 2014, the service’s monthly audience reached 23 million, according to TNS. Web Index.
