Yandex Releases Yandex.Direct for iPhone

Internet, December 17, 2012. Yandex (NASDAQ:YNDX), one of the largest European internet companies operating Russia’s most popular search engine and most visited website, has released an app version of its web-based pay-per-click advertising platform Yandex.Direct. The system’s clients in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan can now manage their advertising campaigns and monitor their progress right from their mobile phones.

“The mobile market is very fast-paced; people use their smart phones everywhere – for work, while travelling, at lunch or in a meeting. We have developed a special campaign management tool for our direct clients – those who run their own campaigns on Yandex.Direct – enabling them to now control their Yandex.Direct performance from their mobile phones,” says Lev Volozh, Project Manager at Yandex.

Yandex.Direct for mobile gives users access to their advertising campaigns created online, allowing them to start or stop their ads at a click, adjust bids or monitor statistics. The app keeps the user informed about all campaign updates, such as when an ad has passed moderation, or the budget has run out, or that one of the key words has been pushed from its position.

The Yandex.Direct app also allows the system’s clients to top up their campaign balance via transfer between campaigns or from their Yandex.Money rouble account. Advertisers in Russia can also see the nearest Yandex.Direct payment outlets right in the app.

Yandex.Direct for iPhone is available to the users of the system’s Professional Interface and can be downloaded for free from the App Store.

Yandex.Direct is the first and largest automated, auction-based ad-serving system for contextual advertising on the Russian internet. Ads are displayed for millions of users on search results pages and on the pages of the Yandex Advertising Network.
