Free Antivirus Software to Protect Yandex Users

Internet, March 27, 2008. Yandex offers Kaspersky Anti-Virus software for free to all web users. Anyone can get free protection from virus and malware downloading the Ya.Online (I’m.Online) program now featuring with the Kaspersky anti-virus module. The program is available for download here.

“Ya.Online is a handy free application. It notifies of the new emails in your Yandex.Mail inbox, and the latest version also features a search box for instant search right from the desktop, and two indispensable notifiers: weather report and Moscow traffic report,” says Alexander Bykov, head of Yandex’s development team for desktop applications. “Now, in addition to all its virtues, Ya.Online can also fend off viruses”.

Ya.Online was rolled out for public use in September 2007. Every day around 200,000 people use the application, and this number is growing.
