Internet, January 19, 2007. Yandex.Market introduces Favorite Shops service. All buyers can now personally select stores to be displayed for them in the list of offers at Yandex.Market.
More than a thousand stores have become partners of Yandex.Market, and the number is growing. The new service makes it possible to choose shops and place orders based on prior buying experience. All registered Yandex users can now give ratings to stores. Offers by stores rated as “good” will be displayed on top of search results, while “bad” stores can be completely removed from the list as untrustworthy.
“Everyone tends to make purchases in proven and trusted shops. If the staff were rude to us, or the goods were of poor quality, we would most probably never come back to that shop again,” comments Alexey Avdey, Yandex project manager. “Yet, the name and reputation of a store are as important in the Internet as in the city. The new service will help make online purchases as safe as visiting a well-known shop, and will promote truly reliable online stores.”
The Favorite Shops settings are individual, since different users may have polar opinions of the same store. Note that Yandex.Market quality division reserves the right to perform statistic analysis of user ratings and use them when working with partners. In addition, users can leave their comments, which will also be analyzed by the quality division.
